It looks like BioWare accidentally revealed the appearance of one of the series’ most iconic characters in the new Mass Effect

Blogger MrHulthen said in a recent video on his YouTube channel that the description included a lithograph with a poster for the next installment of Mass Effect Official BioWare website kept for some time spoiler to a new game.

According to Mr. Hulthen (web archive can’t confirm) the original version of the product description mentioned Captain Shepard, the protagonist of the original Mass Effect trilogy, who ended the war of the galaxy with the Reapers.

“During Shepard’s final mission, the Reaper menace was ended, but at a great cost, including to Earth itself. As Shepard and the survivors are forced to piece together the remains, fans wonder what comes next.”read the description of the lithograph.

In other words, the product’s description suggested (the hero’s mention was quickly removed) that by the end of Mass Effect 3, Captain Shepard not only didn’t die (hints of that were in one of the options for the finale), but would in the next part of the series appear.

As for the survivors (they weren’t removed from the description), they could mean four figures from the actual poster of the new Mass Effect, among which (confirmed by the description) there really was a krogan.

Appreciated poster also includes “Reminiscent of the “Normandie” ship” and “Crater in the Shape of a Geta”. According to BioWare General Manager Gary McKay, hidden in the picture “at least five” Surprises for fans of the series.

The list of target platforms and the final name of the new Mass Effect are not yet available, but in mid-April the game entered the phase of active development. However, it’s still a long way from release.
