Intel Prepares NUC 12 Serpent Canyon Desktops with Arc A770M Accelerator

Intel will soon be launching the NUC 12 small form factor gaming desktop, codenamed Serpent Canyon. The devices will be based on the Alder Lake hardware platform.

The maximum configuration includes a Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores – six powerful and eight energy-efficient. Up to 20 instruction streams can be processed simultaneously. The clock frequency reaches 4.7 GHz.

The equipment includes a discrete graphics accelerator Intel Arc A770M based on the ACM-G10 chip with 32 Xe cores. The size of the GDDR6 memory is 16 GB, and the power consumption ranges from 120 to 150 watts.

The arsenal of novelties includes an Intel 2.5G Ethernet network controller and a Wi-Fi 6E wireless adapter. The amount of RAM and the configuration of the storage subsystem have not yet been reported.

An SDXC slot, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Type-A interfaces, and a 3.5mm audio jack appear on the front of the computer. On the back there are HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0 connectors, four USB Type-A ports, an RJ45 jack for a network cable, a Thunderbolt 4 interface.The price is not specified.
