Intel has indirectly confirmed the development of another chip in the Alder Lake S family of desktop processors. We’re talking about the Core i9-12900KS model that was rumored to be in the media a few months ago.

The manufacturer has posted a message on its Twitter page indicating that the Core is the 12th in favor of this statement.

The report is accompanied by several screenshots from monitoring programs that show a certain processor with a clock rate of 5.2 GHz across all productive P-cores. It is noteworthy that one of the cores works at 5.5 GHz.

According to the opinion VideoCardz, this processor could be the Core i9-12900KS model – a selected chip with increased potential for automatic overclocking. On this basis, the Core i9-12900KS is said to be the fastest consumer processor in the Alder Lake S series, as well as a direct competitor to the solutions for the upcoming desktop series of AMD Ryzen 6000 processors with 3D V-Cache technology .
According to reports, the Core i9-12900KS won’t be in stores any time soon. VideoCardz sources indicate the end of the first quarter of 2022 as a possible release window.
