Intel is discontinuing the production of the NUC 12 Enthusiast Mini PC, the NUC X15 Laptop Kit and the P14E Laptop

Intel is officially ending production of its NUC 12 Enthusiast desktop gaming mini-PC, NUC X15 laptop kit and NUC P14E laptop. This has come to light from the recent Product Change Notification stating that production of these systems will be discontinued as of August 18th. After the specified date, the company will also no longer accept orders for the delivery of these products.

The NUC X15 Laptop Kit is Intel’s reference platform for the Alder Lake architecture. These systems are equipped with Core i7-12700H processors and Arc A7 DG2 SKU2/SKU3 graphics cards, including the Arc A730M and A550M models. Several notebook OEMs have published their solutions based on this reference platform. Apparently these systems will also no longer be available after August 18th. It should be noted that the NUC X15 Laptop Kit platform was launched only recently, in Q3 2023. Thus, just over a year has passed until the production cycle of these laptops is completed.

Also worth noting is the NUC 12 Enthusiast, codenamed “Serpent Canyon”. These systems are characterized by the use of configurations from the Core i7-12700H mobile chips, as well as the highly productive Arc A770M mobile graphics cards, assembled in the desktop mini-PC form factor.

NUC P14E laptops, on the other hand, are characterized by the use of 11th generation Intel Core (Tiger Lake) processors, which were introduced back in 2020. Intel had already announced the reduction in production of almost all processor models in this series in June.

The latest shipments of all of these Intel NUC systems will be no later than September 8th this year.
