Intel has released a driver that supports Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and accelerates DX11 games

Intel has released a new graphics driver package, Arc & Iris Graphics 31.0. 101.5074 Beta. The new software includes support for the game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. In addition, the driver improves the performance of some games that support DirectX 11 and includes a number of fixes from previous versions of the software.

The new version of the Intel driver increases the performance of Intel graphics cards in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (DX12) by 8% at 1080p resolution and maximum quality settings compared to driver version 31.0.101.4972. Below is a full list of gaming optimizations in the new driver:

  • FPS increased by up to 23% in Battlefield V (DX11) at 1080p resolution and Ultra settings;
  • FPS increased by up to 5% in Crossout (DX11) at 1080p resolution and Ultra settings.
  • FPS increased by up to 12% in Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition (DX11) at 1080p resolution and highest settings;
  • FPS increased by up to 14% in For Honor (DX11) at 1080p resolution and extreme settings;
  • FPS increased by up to 31% in Dying Light 2 Stay Human (DX11) at 1080p resolution and high settings;
  • FPS increased to 34% in Train Sim World 3 (DX11) at 1080p resolution and Ultra settings;
  • FPS increased by up to 16% in Dishonored 2 (DX11) at 4K resolution and maximum settings.
  • FPS increased by up to 5% in Phasmophobia (DX11) at 1440p resolution and high settings.

List of fixed issues:

  • in the game Total War: Pharaoh (DX11) graphics distortions could be observed on some monitor models after changing the resolution;
  • crashes in Alan Wake (DX9) when starting a new game;
  • Pixel color distortions in Cyberpunk 2077 (DX12);
  • Pixel flickering in Counter-Strike 2 (DX11) when using 4X MSAA anti-aliasing;
  • periodic crashes in the game Ghostrunner 2 (DX11);
  • Crashes in the game Far Cry 3 (DX11).

List of known issues:

  • Image distortion in Fortnite (DX12) when using certain anti-aliasing settings;
  • Crashes in the game Dead by Daylight (DX11);
  • Topaz Video AI may experience errors when using some video enhancement models.
  • Periodic crashes in Dragon Quest X Online (DX9) when using integrated graphics on 12th to 14th Gen Core processors.
