Patrick Gelsinger was appointed CEO of Intel in mid-February last year. He decided to celebrate the approach of the symbolic milestone with a video message to the audience LinkedIn, in which he stated that the company he led had regained its leadership in the consumer segment forever with the release of the Alder Lake processor family.
While Gelsinger had previously acknowledged at various reporting events that Intel was already beginning to regain its lost market position prior to the release of the Alder Lake processors, he now believes this family has a crucial role to play in sustaining this trend. “alder Lake. Suddenly… boom! We’re back in the game – the Intel boss emotionally clarifies the strengthening of the company’s position in the consumer sector, – AMD stays in the rearview mirror in the customer segment and will never be in front of the windshield again, we’ll just lead the market.”.
The Intel boss does not let go of his ambitions of mastering five new technical processes in four years. By early 2025, the company plans to offer its customers Intel 18A process technology. Speaking to colleagues, Gelsinger also said that the company currently has no better executive for Intel and that he will do his best in the position.
