Intel has announced that it will ship its Alchemist Arc graphics card to OEMs. This means that the Intel Arc discrete graphics card will soon be arriving in commercial desktops and laptops. The announcement was made at today’s corporate event at CES 2022.
According to Intel, PC manufacturers are preparing more than 50 mobile and desktop models with Intel Arc graphics. We are talking about such companies as Acer, ASUS, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, Haier, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, MSI and NEC, that is, Intel graphics will appear in the assortment of every major computer manufacturer in the world.
Additionally, Intel announced that many game developers are interested in its AI-based image scaling technology called X.e Super sampling (XeSS) supported by Intel Arc graphics accelerators. It was found that many studios are currently working on integrating this technology including 505 Games, Codemasters, EXOR Studios, Fishlabs, Hashbane, IOI, Illfonic, Kojima Productions, Massive Work Studio, PUBG Studios, Techland, Ubisoft and Wonder People.
