Wangyuan Shengtang and Beijing Joyfun have released a 12-minute gameplay video of their action-adventure RPG Faith of Danschant: Hereafter.
It is reported that Faith of Danschant: Hereafter is inspired by Chinese mythology and is a sequel to Faith of Danschant, released in the West in December 2017.
The unveiled video is timed to coincide with the announcement of support for the upcoming game of ray tracing technologies (reflections, global illumination, shadows, shading) and NVIDIA DLSS intelligent scaling.
The protagonist of Faith of Danschant: Hereafter is a Chinese martial artist and wielding a magic sword, the leader of the demon-fighting squad Xing Yuan.
In the published demonstration, the protagonist chases the daughter kidnapped by the monsters, jumping along the treetops and fighting opponents along the way. The cutscene ends with a boss fight.
As previously announced, Faith of Danschant: Hereafter is being created on the Unreal Engine 4 and, judging by the released video, it will offer at least English full localization (text and sound).
Faith of Danschant: Hereafter is being developed for PC and unnamed consoles. The date and even the approximate timing of the release of the new Beijing Joyfun creation has not been disclosed at this stage.
