It was previously reported that the Call of Duty announced for 2023 was designed as DLC, but in the end it will be “a standalone product at full price” by Sledgehammer Games, closely related to the Modern Warfare sub-series.
According to sources from Henderson and his portal Insider Gaming, the new game in the series will be called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III) – yes, exactly the same as the 2011 game.

As for zombies, this Modern Warfare 3 mode will reportedly be an expanded version of Outbreak from Black Ops Cold War. It is understood that Activision has not yet decided whether Outbreak 2.0 will be part of a paid game or will be released separately and free of charge.
