The Game Developers Choice Awards took place at the annual Game Developers Conference. Within its framework, projects of various genres were awarded and awarded for achievements in certain categories. Over fifty games were nominated this year.

Inscryption, developed by Daniel Mullins Games, was named Game of the Year. In Grand Prix she outperformed competitors like Forza Horizon 5, Deathloop, Resident Evil: Village and It Takes Two. In addition, the project received the Seamus McNally Grand Prize at the Independent Games Festival Awards, which coincided with the Game Developers Choice Awards. Inscryption was the first game to win both awards.

Ratchet & Clank also received awards in two categories: Rift Apart – Best Visual Style and Best Technology. Meditative Unpacking won the Best Sound and Innovation Award. Eventually, Psychonauts 2 won best narrative and It Takes Two won best design. Valheim was named “Best Debut”.
