Future Light-Painting Leather is a technology that reversibly changes color under the influence of UV radiation. Infinix specialists have integrated photochromic polymers into the skin, whose molecular structure changes in the presence of UV radiation, causing discoloration. Without prolonged exposure to the sun, the skin’s surface returns to its original color.
The technology does not require any additional smartphone energy and is based on passive change due to external factors. Its use allows designers to give devices a new look by applying two or more alternating colors.

The technology development process took six months, hundreds of tests were required to achieve the desired effect. Infinix has overcome the common problem of skin yellowing by adjusting its structure to ensure colors remain vibrant even after prolonged use. At the same time, the company’s engineers have maintained a small thickness of the device body, which provides the user with a comfortable grip, as well as reliable protection against bumps and falls.
