Team FOLON has posted a video showing the development progress of their massive Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4 in the final quarter of 2022. Among other things, it turned out that a full-fledged subway system and unusual robotic opponents will be added to the game.
Fallout: London completely transforms Fallout 4 by adding a Commonwealth-sized map of London, stretching from Westminster to Bromley. In a new video, the authors said players will be able to travel around the new area by subway. As in Fallout 3, where the train imitated Helmet on the figure’s head, the developers resorted to a technical trick and presented the cars as horizontally arranged elevators. However, this is a fully animated working transport, which allows you to move between stations, observe the entire course of the journey and even participate in battles.
The creators also featured new enemies – robots, one of which is a red mailbox with a circular saw, and the other is a walking sea mine. In addition, it was announced that the soundtrack will contain more than a hundred songs, 40 of which can be heard on the in-game radio. In the trailer itself, a fragment of one of the songs sounds.
In the comments to the video, users admitted that the work of modders and AdHD Gamer users looks very impressive written downWhat project “More and more like a separate AAA game”. The ambitious mod also caught the attention of Bethesda Game Studios itself – in 2021 their lead quest designer got a job at the company.
In addition, new shelters are expected in Fallout: London, unlike the bunkers of the American Vault-Tec, a new protagonist. seven original factions, storylines, NPCs, weapons, unique enemies (super mutants and deathclaws will not be here), weather effects (acid rain) and much more. The events begin in the year 2237 – after the end of Fallout, before the start of Fallout 2, and 50 years before what happens in Fallout 4.
Fallout: London is slated for release in 2023. The authors are only considering a PC release, but are willing to allow other modders to partially port their project to consoles.
