Instagram management* spoke about the new Dynamic Profile Picture feature: users can now instantly view both their photo and the 3D avatar associated with the profile. You used to have to choose between them, but now these images can be easily switched.

Meta* began rolling out 3D avatars to its apps back in 2020 in response to Snapchat’s Bitmoji, and the company subsequently began rolling out the feature to all of its apps. on Instagram* 3D avatars debuted last year, but now the developer is trying to make them more visible on the platform.

You can customize and add an avatar in your profile settings – it will be added to the main photo, and when opening a profile, users can “scroll” through it with simple swipe gestures. 3D image also available on Facebook*Facebook* messengers and whatsapp.

A few days ago the head of Instagram* Adam Mosseri, in a Q&A with users, acknowledged that the platform has become too crowded with videos at the expense of photos, which used to be the main feature of the app. Therefore, he promised that in 2023 the social network will pay more attention to photos and assured that photos will remain an important part of the platform forever.
