Images of smart glasses from Facebook and Ray-Ban appeared a few hours before the announcement

The smart glasses are expected to be unveiled today, a collaboration between social media giant Facebook and popular sunglasses brand Ray-Ban. Hours before, reputable insider Evan Blass published there are several images on his Twitter account that allegedly show the said smart glasses.

The source notes that the device is called Ray-Ban Stories, and the Facebook logo is present only on the box, while the glasses themselves do not. The images shown show three glasses with Wayfarer, Round and Meteor frames, but all of them visually resemble the classic Ray-Ban glasses. The difference from the classic model lies in the presence of a pair of built-in cameras, hinges on the sides and a button at the top of the right bow, which can be used, for example, to control cameras.

In the past, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that smart glasses will have “The iconic Ray-Ban form factor and will let you do some pretty cool stuff.”… However, the device does not have displays for the implementation of augmented reality functions, so it is difficult to guess what exactly the head of Facebook meant.

Unfortunately, images of Ray-Ban Stories glasses were not accompanied by device specifications. However, they will be officially presented today, which means that the developers will tell you more about the possibilities of their creation.
