Illusion Ahead: Players found particularly strong “false” walls in the Elden Ring

user Reddit and Twitter In addition to the usual illusory walls, Elden Ring, a fantasy open-world action role-playing game, is said to have extra strong ones.

Remember that the false walls in FromSoftware games are passages sealed by illusions. To unlock them, hitting or rolling on the barrier is usually enough.

Multiple illusory walls at once within Elden Ring’s Vulkanov Manor require several dozen hits to breach the barrier. The community assumes that this was a team error.

There is several indirect evidence for this:

  • the destruction of these walls is not accompanied by a characteristic sound and animation;
  • the secret hides an already accessible space;
  • After reloading the location, the wall will return to its place.

Aside from that, accordingly Modder and dataminer Zullie the Witch is only able to break through these “illusory” barriers because her protection parameter is zero (with a “health” of 9999 units).

Zullie the witch suggeststhat considering this and the features listed above, the desired “tricks” should have disappeared by triggering the scripts, but something went wrong: either the team missed it or an error occurred.

Elden Ring debuted on February 25th on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Previously, gamers discovered a way to pause the game without using mods – but that can also be a bug.
