“I have no idea how it happened”: The GTA Online player asked Rockstar to give him $75,000 back and was awarded $32 million

A good life in Grand Theft Auto Online requires a lot of money. How convenient would it be if Rockstar suddenly gave millions of in-game dollars to its users. That’s exactly what happened to one lucky player.

Reddit forum user under the alias Skraelos the other day toldthat for some reason, for a request for a refund of $ 75 thousand in GTA Online, the developers sent him much more – over $ 32 million.

For comparison: The most expensive payment card for GTA Online – “Megalodon” – grants “only” 10 million US dollars access, but at the same time costs more than GTA V itself, namely up to 100 US dollars. In other words, Rockstar gave Skraelos more than $300 worth of virtual currency.

In conversation with PCGamesN The lucky man explained that he lost said $75,000 while trying to buy supplies for his bunker in GTA Online. At the time of the transaction, the game crashed, the money was deducted, but the goods did not arrive.

Hoping to get a refund for the lost amount (though not too much by GTA Online standards), Skraelos wrote to Rockstar Technical Support, and the next time he logged into the game, he was greeted with a message in the screenshot attached above welcomed.

“I have no idea how it happened. I have no intention of touching this money just yet in case Rockstar takes notice and decides to write this amount off of me.Skraelos told PCGamesN.

In the comments on Reddit, they were happy for Skraelos, noting that he should be thanked by a certain Rockstar tech support representative or his cat who ran across the owner’s keyboard at the time the refund amount was entered.
