Huawei updates the MateBook X Pro and MateBook 16S laptops with Intel Raptor Lake processors

Huawei continues to update its MateBook laptops. Earlier, the manufacturer introduced the updated MateBook D14 and MateBook D16 models. Now it’s the turn of the MateBook 16S and the flagship MateBook X Pro. They differ mainly in the processors from the previous year’s versions – there were no significant external changes.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2023 offers a choice of Intel processors from the Raptor Lake series. It offers a 12-core Intel Core i5-1340P up to 4.6 GHz and a 12-core Core i7-1360P up to 5.0 GHz. Both chips have a TDP of 28W.

The laptop can also offer 16GB or 32GB of RAM. The device does not have a separate graphics card. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics core is responsible for graphics processing. The display of the updated model is the same as last year. It is a 14.2-inch touchscreen with an aspect ratio of 3:2, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and support for a resolution of 3120 x 2080 pixels. The display specifies a peak brightness of 500 cd/m²2.

In standalone mode, the MateBook X Pro 2023 is powered by a 60Wh battery. The laptop has four USB-C ports. Two of them are Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The weight of the MateBook X Pro 2023 is 1.26 kg. The novelty is offered in the colors Space Gray (grey), Ink Blue (blue) and White (white). The updated MateBook X Pro 2023 model will be available on June 1 at a price of €2199.

The weight of the larger MateBook 16S 2023 model is 1.99 kg. The laptop is equipped with a 16-inch touchscreen with an aspect ratio of 3:2 that supports a resolution of 2520 × 1680 pixels and a peak brightness of 400 cd/m²2. It is 100 cd/m²2 more than the screen of last year’s model.

The MateBook 16S 2023 is based on a 14-core Core i9-13900H with up to 5.4 GHz, a 14-core Core i7-13700H with up to 5.0 GHz or a 12-core Core i5-13500H with up to 5 .0 GHz. up to 4.7GHz. All chips have a nominal TDP of 45 W.

The updated MateBook 16S will also be available from June 1, priced at €1,799.
