Huawei has announced the P50E smartphone, based on the Qualcomm hardware platform and the proprietary HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. The novelty can already be pre-ordered, the actual sale will start on March 24th.
Snapdragon 778G processor installed. The chip packs eight Kryo 670 cores clocked up to 2.4GHz and an Adreno 642L graphics accelerator. 5G support is not implemented. The amount of RAM is 8 GB.
The 6.5-inch diagonal display has a resolution of 2700 × 1224 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a touch layer response rate of 300 Hz. Supports the reproduction of 1.07 billion colors.
There is a 13-megapixel camera on the front. The triple rear camera combines a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle unit and a 12-megapixel periscope module with 5x zoom and optical stabilization.
The device is protected against moisture and dust according to the IP68 standard. The equipment includes WLAN 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.2 LE adapters, stereo speakers, an NFC controller, an on-screen fingerprint scanner and a USB 3.1 Type-C port. A 4100 mAh battery with 66 W charging power is responsible for the power supply.
The Huawei P50E is available in versions with 128GB and 256GB of storage for $645 and $710 respectively.
