The Chinese company Huawei has officially introduced the tablet computer MateBook E (2023). The novelty positions itself as a competitor to Microsoft Surface Pro and is a 2-in-1 device equipped with a detachable keyboard, thanks to which it can be easily transformed into a compact laptop.

The Huawei MateBook E (2023) has a 12.6-inch OLED display with support for a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The panel used covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and achieves a peak brightness of 600 cd/m². To interact with the screen, you can use the M-Pencil stylus with support for 4096 pressure levels.
The tablet is based on Intel Alder Lake-U processors (12th generation). Versions with 10-core processors Core i5-1230U and Core i7-1260U are available. The Intel Iris Xe graphics accelerator is responsible for graphics processing. The maximum configuration assumes 16GB of RAM and a 1TB drive. A 42 Wh battery serves as the energy source. Another battery with a capacity of 10.8 Wh is integrated into the detachable keyboard.
The Huawei MateBook E (2023) hybrid tablet runs Windows 11. The version with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage costs $1,068, while the version with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage costs $1,137. The timing of the release of new items that will be available for sale outside of the home market has not yet been announced.
