Houses and Walls Help: God of War Ragnarok defeats Elden Ring in Official PlayStation Blog reader voting

Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment let down the results of the user vote for the best games of the year to come among the readers of the official PlayStation blog. As with The Game Awards 2022, God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring were the favorites, but the outcome was a little different.

The main triumph was God of War Ragnarok. Adventure Action Santa Monica Studio skated through the nominations, handing out ten Platinum (and one Silver) trophies, including two Game of the Year awards for both PlayStation 4 and Playstation 5.

Second and third in terms of the number of awards on PlayStation Blog are Horizon Forbidden West (nine total, max gold) and Elden Ring (eight total, also gold). It’s followed by Stray (six total, one platinum) and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (four, also one platinum).

According to PlayStation Blog readers, Hogwarts Legacy is the most anticipated game of the coming years. She lost to Resident Evil 4 Remake, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Significantly, highly anticipated PlayStation exclusives like Final Fantasy XVI and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 didn’t make the top four.
