Guerrilla Games has revealed the scope of plans for Horizon – the franchise will be in development for “a very long time”.

If suddenly someone has doubts, then the plans of the Dutch studio Guerrilla Games, owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment, for the post-apocalyptic action film franchise Horizon go far beyond the already announced projects.

Speaking at the Develop: Brighton conference, Guerrilla Games director Jan-Bart van Beek said explainedthat the studio will continue to develop the Horizon series “very long time”.

The developers don’t seem to suffer from the lack of ideas for Horizon. According to van Beek, as many as 16 plans are in the works, including future games in the franchise, among others.

Projects in the Horizon universe that have already been confirmed include Aloy’s next adventure as well as a multiplayer spin-off of the series, the alpha version of which was previously leaked on the internet.

The Horizon franchise already has two main games (Zero Dawn, Forbidden West), an add-on for each of them, and a Call of the Mountain VR spin-off for PS VR2, not to mention comics and clothing collection.

Among other things, Netflix is ​​preparing a series based on Horizon, which will be helmed by Umbrella Academy showrunner Steve Blackman. A PS5 remake of Horizon Zero Dawn is also rumored to be in the works.
