Google is preparing to release an Android widget that will make Bard’s search chatbot easier to access on Pixel phones and tablets – this widget will only appear on the company’s branded devices. resource reported. 9to5Googlewhose journalists decompiled a new version of one of the Google applications in the Play Store.
The chat bot Google Bard is still available to a limited group of users – it is not yet integrated into the company’s ecosystem, but positions itself as a direct competitor to ChatGPT, the chat bot Bing and similar solutions. So far it can only be opened via a browser, while Microsoft has already ensured tight integration of the GPT-4 neural network in Edge and Bing. Luckily, Google, which has already added some AI capabilities to its ecosystem services, also plans to make Bard easier to access on Android.
9to5Google did not specify which application was decompiled, and even stated that it is not known exactly how Bard will debut on Android: as part of the standard Google search application or as a separate product. But they have reasons to claim that a separate widget will be available on the device’s desktop for the chatbot – in particular, in this element there will be examples of requests that can be opened already in the application.
Notably, the feature will be exclusive to Pixel series devices, at least for now. It is logical to assume that the owners of these devices will have priority in participating in Bard’s tests. More details will likely have to wait until the Google I/O event begins on May 10th.
