Google has updated the Docs and Drive user interfaces

Google has started rolling out an updated user interface for Docs, Drive, Sheets and Slides. The new design is in the style of Material Design 3, which will make the appearance of the mentioned services more modern and simple.

The design change will not affect the performance of Google services in any way. They will continue to work as usual, but interacting with them will be a bit easier and the controls will be more streamlined. Along with this, the developers have added some improvements and additions to documents, disks, spreadsheets and presentations that make working with services more convenient.

Google’s intention to change the design of some of its products was first revealed last month. Even then it was known that the new look of the company’s services would be similar to the current look of Gmail. The design work is in progress “Simplify core processes of collaboration” in Google products.

Google reportedly started rolling out an updated user interface for Docs, Drive, Sheets, and Slides this week. It is expected to be available to all users by March 25th. Business and consumer users, as well as G Suite Basic and G Suite Business subscribers, can evaluate the changes.
