It has been revealed that Grassetti landed a job at Netflix Games Studio in Los Angeles to work on an unannounced big-budget (AAA) multiplatform game on a new intellectual property.

The Grassetti company on the team will be made up of other industry celebrities who crossed over to the Netflix side in search of a dream:

  • Halo veteran Joseph Staten, who is serving as the project’s creative lead;
  • former Overwatch executive producer Chaco Sonny, who runs the studio;
  • Gears 5 and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Lead Programmer Jerry Edsall, Head of Quality Assurance at Netflix Games Studio.

It was previously reported that this AAA game will be an Unreal Engine action game with storyline and characters “worthy of a Netflix movie or series”. PC was named as the target platform.

A total of 86 games are in development for the Netflix catalog – 16 are occupied by its own studios and the remaining 70 are created by third-party partners. In March, the streaming giant announced that 40 more releases were planned for 2023.
