Recently, the development of the tablet market has been facilitated by a pandemic: users around the world have been actively buying such gadgets for entertainment, communication and work on the Internet.

However, in the current half of the year, sales have declined due to a shortage of components and a weakening of restrictions associated with the spread of coronavirus. Because of this, analysts at Digitimes Research believe that by the end of 2021, the industry as a whole will show a decline of more than 7% compared to 2020.

In 2022, the situation with the supply of electronic components will improve. Against this backdrop, global tablet sales may rise by about 1.3% year on year.

Then growth will give way to recession. In 2023 and 2024 shipments are forecast to decline by about 2.5%. In 2025, there may be a slight increase in sales, and in 2026, a decline of 4% is expected.
