Gigabyte launches first AMD A620 Mini-ITX board for Ryzen 7000

Gigabyte is preparing to release the UD-A620I-X motherboard with the entry-level AMD A620 chipset. The novelty should be intended for building very compact systems based on Ryzen 7000 processors. This is the first motherboard based on this chipset in the Mini-ITX form factor.

Manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, ASRock and Biostar have not yet presented their models of Mini-ITX motherboards with the AMD A620 chipset. According to the portal VideoCardz, which refers to these companies, boards of this format can be announced later this month or in July.

Remember that the AMD A620 chipset itself does not support overclocking processors and PCIe 5.0. Also, this chipset does not support high TDP processor models and is intended for use with Ryzen chips rated at 65W.

Obviously, the Gigabyte UD A620I-AX is a cheap motherboard. It received two slots for DDR5 RAM and a PCIe 4.0 x16 for a graphics card. The board is equipped with two SATA III connectors as well as 24-pin and 8-pin power connectors. The novelty has built-in Wi-Fi support, a 2.5 Gigabit network adapter and an M.2 slot for an NVMe drive.

The official announcement of the Board of Directors is expected in the near future. Estimated cost for the board will be no more than $100. Gigabyte mainboards with the A620 chipset are offered at least in this price segment.
