Gigabyte introduced GeForce RTX 4000 Eagle Ice graphics cards

Gigabyte has officially introduced four new graphics cards. All belong to the GeForce RTX 40 series models, two of which will be included in the Super series. Rumors about the appearance of new Gigabyte accelerators have been circulating for a long time and were fueled by various information leaks.

The models in the Eagle Ice range are essentially improved versions of the Eagle accelerators, but in a fresher white color scheme. One of the key features of the Eagle Ice graphics cards is the design of the triple fan cooling system, which also includes optional white back panels.

The main difference between the Eagle Ice accelerators GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4070, in addition to the actual characteristics, is their size. The RTX 4070 features a 2.5-slot design (50mm) and a length of 26cm, while the RTX 4060 features a 2-slot design and a length of 27cm.

Every Eagle Ice model is factory overclocked like the original series. It is also possible that Gigabyte will release versions of accelerators without overclocking in the future. The new products presented are the following models:

  • GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER EAGLE OC ICE 16G GV-N407TSEAGLEOC ICE-16GD (frequency 2640 MHz, reference model – 2610 MHz),
  • GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER EAGLE OC ICE 12G GV-N407SEAGLEOC ICE-12GD (frequency 2535 MHz, reference model – 2475 MHz),
  • GeForce RTX 4060 Ti EAGLE OC ICE GV-N406TEAGLEOC ICE-8GD (frequency 2550 MHz, reference model – 2535 MHz),
  • GeForce RTX 4060 EAGLE OC ICE 8G GV-N4060EAGLEOC ICE-8GD (frequency 2505 MHz, reference model – 2460 MHz).

Note that the RTX 4060 Ti Eagle Ice accelerators are characterized by a non-standard arrangement of interfaces for connecting a monitor: two DisplayPort 1.4a connectors and two HDMI 2.1a connectors. At the same time, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is equipped with three DisplayPort ports and one HDMI. As for power connectors, the RTX 4060 uses a standard 8-pin PCIe connector, while the RTX 4070 Ti Super requires a 16-pin power cable or adapter.

Although Gigabyte has not yet announced the price of the unveiled Eagle Ice graphics cards, it will likely be similar to the price of the Eagle accelerators, as they are essentially the same graphics cards but with a different design.
