GeForce RTX 3060 is the most popular graphics card among Steam users, but there is a caveat

The GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card has become the most popular on the Steam platform – in September its share was 7.52%, follows from a fresh one report Steam Hardware Survey. However, there is one important nuance: we are talking about the combined performance of the mobile and desktop versions of the graphics card. While individually they only rank 5th and 6th in terms of popularity.

The absolute leader in terms of popularity on the platform is still the desktop GeForce GTX 1060 with 6.94% of users. In second place is the GeForce GTX 1650 with 6.32% of users and in third place is the GeForce RTX 2060 with 5.19% of users. The mobile version of the GeForce RTX 3060 has a 4% share, while the desktop version has a 3.52% share. In general, NVIDIA graphics cards are used by 76.77% of Steam users, another 14.41% are AMD solutions and Intel is content with a share of 8.61%.

The share of users of the Windows 11 operating system has grown to 24.84% in the past month. Windows 10 is still the most popular operating system on Steam but has lost 0.57 percentage points over the past month. Now his stake is 68.49%.

As for processors, six-core models remain the most popular among Steam users. The share of their owners is 33.54% of the total. Monthly growth – 0.50 percentage points. The proportion of owners of eight-core processors also increased by 0.22 percentage points. and now it’s 19.19%.

The share of owners of the virtual reality headset Oculus Quest 2 on the Steam platform fell by 7.86 percentage points last month. However, this device is still the most popular in its category. The share of the owners is 41.39%. Second is the Valve Index with 17.21% of users and third is the Oculus Rift S with a 13.94% share.
