Publisher Nacon and developers from Belgian Appeal Studios presented the first gameplay trailer for their co-op action game Gangs of Sherwood. The premiere took place as part of the Nacon Connect 2023 broadcast.
Gangs of Sherwood is set in a futuristic dystopia based on the legend of Robin Hood. The player is offered to play the role of one of the members of the gang of robbers (Robin, Marian, Brother Took, Little John), who will then lead the riot and give battle to the Nottingham Sheriff’s Army.
Gangs of Sherwood can be played solo or in co-op for up to four people. The upcoming game from Appeal Studios has everything a “noble robber” should do: rob the rich, give everything to the poor, increase reputation and fame and don’t forget to unlock upgrades for your hero.
The presented trailer is intended to show how the gameplay in Gangs of Sherwood will be designed. In the group, the main character takes part in verbal skirmishes with partners, explores locations, and also spends a lot of time in battles using unique weapons and special techniques. At the end of the cutscene, adventurers will encounter a duo of automatons that, judging by their size and characteristic health bars, act as bosses here.
Gangs of Sherwood is slated for release in Fall 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S.
