Epic Games has announced an update to the Epic Games Store that will add ratings and polls. These features are intended to allow users to leave product reviews directly in the service application.

Epic Games will automatically solicit reviews from random players after playing or using the app. The request only appears after the user has spent more than two hours in the game or in the Epic Games Store application and asks them to rate the product on a five-point system.
Over time, these results will appear on the game’s page on the Epic Games Store, which will then display an “Overall Rating” based on user feedback on the product. The decision to solicit reviews from random players is based on an attempt to sidestep the potential bombardment of games with negative reviews.
Survey
Polls ask users for their opinion on various aspects of the game. For example, is it better to play Rocket League with a team or how difficult are the battles in Fortnite? After enough responses are received, the polls generate tags that help categorize and organize the Epic Games Store. Over time, the number of tags will increase, allowing users to better understand what to expect from the game.
