Galax introduced the GeForce RTX 4080 HOF (Hall of Fame) graphics card. The manufacturer has previously released the GeForce RTX 4090 HOF and RTX 4070 Ti HOF models.

The new GeForce RTX 4080 HOF based on the AD103 GPU will be presented in three versions. They differ in the factory overclocking of the GPU and in the bundle. On the Galax GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus-X model, the GPU frequency is 2640 MHz. The graphics card comes with a detachable HOF Panel III LCD screen with a resolution of 480 × 272 pixels, which is attached to the graphics card with magnets. The screen is powered by a USB Type-C connector. The display shows useful information about the status of the graphics accelerator: memory temperature, GPU, fan speed, etc. In addition, it can be used to work with Galax overclocking software.
For the Galax GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus model, the GPU frequency is also stated as 2640 MHz, but this version does not include a detachable LCD screen. The Galax GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB model offers the smallest factory overclocking. The manufacturer specifies a frequency of 2595 MHz for its graphics processor.
The Galax GeForce RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus-X and RTX 4080 HOF OC LAB Plus versions are among the fastest GeForce RTX 4080 on the market, but not the fastest. The title belongs to the ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 ROG Strix OC model, which offers a GPU frequency of 2655 MHz. The latter is achieved with the help of bundled software.
Galax announced that all GeForce RTX 4080 HOF graphics cards come with a dual BIOS system with sleep and performance modes. In sleep mode, the graphics card’s GPU works with a reference frequency of 2505 MHz. At the same time, the power consumption of the accelerator is limited to 320 watts. In BIOS performance mode, the power consumption threshold is raised to 400W. With the help of manual overclocking, however, it can be increased even further – up to 470 watts.
The manufacturer did not specify the cost of video cards or the date of their sale. Keep in mind that the HOF series accelerators are mainly aimed at overclocking enthusiasts. The cards in this series are usually produced in limited editions and at the same time are significantly more expensive than the competition.
