G.Skill has released the fastest RAM kit – two DDR5-8000 modules cost $570

Shown by G.Skill last month, the Trident Z5 DDR5-8000 RAM kit went on sale. This is the fastest memory that can currently be offered to the consumer not only by G.Skill itself, but generally by all manufacturers of memory modules.

The G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 Kit, labeled F5-8000J3848H16GX2-TZ5RK, has a total storage capacity of 32GB (2 x 16GB) and comes with silver and black RGB heatsinks. The manufacturer indicates that the new RAM modules with CL38-48-48-128 timings operate at a voltage of 1.45 V and are optimized for operation on motherboards with the Intel Z790 chipset for Raptor Lake processors . This memory kit has been tested for compliance with the declared characteristics of the ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex flagship motherboard.

It should be noted that the G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-8000 memory information transfer rate is up to 66.6% higher than the JEDEC specifications for the DDR5-4800 RAM standard.

A G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-8000 RAM kit was seen for sale from one of the Japanese retailers. A local seller listed it at 80,840 yen, which is about $572 at current exchange rates. This is more expensive than most flagship motherboards based on the Intel Z790 chipset. For example, the difference between this memory kit and the same ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard is about $120.

In the future, these RAM modules should also find their way to some major US and European retailers.
