Starting with Overwatch 2 Season 2, the authors aim to provide more ways to get free character skins: for example, a skin in each subsequent seasonal event. Distribution of in-game items through the Twitch Drops affiliate program will also continue.

Starting with Overwatch 2 Season 3, the developers intend to introduce changes to the Battle Pass that will affect the progression system and ways (there will be more of them) of obtaining items. The team wants gamers to be happy with every gaming session, even when it is “An epic losing streak that couldn’t even be broken at two in the morning.”

Noyce made it very clear that the developers are aware of problems when selecting matches when playing for characters of certain categories (e.g. a support class). The team intends to test some ideas to rectify the situation, such as adding Battle Pass experience when playing as Support Heroes.

The developers have also made adjustments to the matchmaking system to help more accurately determine the player’s skill level and division. While this change is already present in the shooter, the impact of its implementation will be more noticeable early in Season 2.

Remember, Overwatch 2 Early Access and Season 1 began on October 4th on PC (Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.
