Publisher and developer Garena announced the first crossover in 2022, which will take place in the shareware Mobile Battle Royale Free Fire, as well as divided the first details about the next big update.
As has been announced, the collaboration is set to take place in early March this year and will bring content from Assassin’s Creed, a series of pseudo-historical open-world action games from Ubisoft, to Free Fire.
Free Fire users in particular are waiting for it “Legendary Characters” from Assassin’s Creed. Exactly what isn’t specified, but the illustration for the crossover (above) features Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who made his debut in Assassin’s Creed II.
The upcoming update is called “Fire”. The patch will bring many changes, including character balance changes, a new map (“Alps”) for Squad Battle mode, a different type of weapon, and more.
The full list of changes is available in the new update diary on the official Free Fire website. The release of “Light Up” is expected soon – the technical work to introduce new content is already underway.
The creators of Free Fire promise to share more details about the Assassin’s Creed crossover with fans in the coming weeks on the game’s social media pages.
Free Fire was released on August 23, 2017 and is available on Android and iOS devices. At the end of September 2021, Free Fire MAX debuted, an improved version of the mobile battle royale.
