Forza Horizon 5 is getting an update with time smoothing on PC and co-op for the Horizon Stories mode

Developer from Playground Games Studio released A major update to the arcade racing game Forza Horizon 5, adding support for temporal smoothing, Horizon Stories co-op, and more. Series 9 update is now available on PC (steam and Microsoft store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.

Most important changes and innovations:

  • Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA) support on PC that reduces flicker, conveys more detail and softens the image;
  • Support for co-op with a six-user limit in Horizon Stories mode;
  • new Hot Wheels themed cars and cosmetics;
  • new monthly Forza EV challenge;
  • Duplicate filter for auto select screen;
  • the ability to fold the top down in the open world for the Ferrari California T and McLaren 650S Spider;
  • Various fixes for cars, including those related to the sound of the Lamborghini Diablo 97 engine at high speeds, the improvement of Liberty Walk for the Mercedes C63 AMG and the dashboard of the 2011 Audi RS4 Avant and Audi RS5;
  • Updates and fixes for EventLab mode, including new camera speed settings;
  • The It Just Works reward now unlocks correctly (after fully unlocking the Auto Mastery skill tree on a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle).
  • fixed bug with rank increase in Creative Center (Creative Hub);
  • fixed exploits in photo mode (increased speed) as well as those related to gift cars;
  • Fixed an issue that caused the hood and bumper to look too dark.
  • Fixed bugs that resulted in loss of progress on daily challenges, choosing the wrong vehicle class in online races, inability to see all platoon members and start events with a full platoon (12 players), and unavailability of the Horizon Arcade led event;
  • various stability and performance improvements;
  • Support for new subtitle and voiceover languages.

As part of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 event, the developers announced that on July 19 the game will receive its first addition – Hot Wheels with an amusement park and new cars based on the franchise of the same name.

Forza Horizon 5 was released in November 2021 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass. In total, the game has attracted more than 20 million users.
