Former Twitter executives are suing X for $1.1 million in compensation

Company X, formerly known as Twitter, is ordered to pay $1.1 million in legal fees to former executives of the social network Twitter.

Judge Kathaleen Saint Jude McCormick ruled in favor of former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and former general counsel Vijaya Gadde. The judge concluded that Elon Musk’s company breached its duty to reimburse legal costs related to his work for the company.

After Musk took over the company, he fired Agrawal and other key executives. This came shortly after Twitter filed a lawsuit against Musk for trying to get out of a deal to acquire the company for $44 billion.

In April, Agrawal and Gadde filed a lawsuit against As Bloomberg reported, X only paid about $600,000 of his debts. The company’s lawyers said that the executives ofShock from the price tag“after seeing an exorbitant $1.1 million bill from Gadde’s lawyers.

Judge McCormick acknowledged that $1.1 million was a significant amount, but still ruled in favor of the former Twitter executives. “I have familiarized myself with the specified quantity. It is very important, but it is justified” McCormick said.
