According to the registration data of the Eurasian Economic Commission database, Gigabyte is going to release at least 16 motherboards under the Aorus brand for the new Intel Alder Lake processors. The upper segment will be represented by the Aorus Xtreme and Aorus Master models. Photos of the latter appeared on the Web.
The new Z690 Aorus Master uses a standard ATX form factor and is equipped with two 8-pin connectors for powering the LGA 1700 processor socket, which is clearly visible in the presented photo. M.2 slots for NVMe drives are covered with a large radiator. The board will receive four slots for DDR5 RAM, as well as a reinforced PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. It will also include two additional PCIe x16 slots. It is not yet known whether they will support the PCIe 5.0 standard or work with a different PCIe version.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to tell you any additional information about the board yet. The most interesting thing is hidden behind a massive heatsink for cooling the VRM subsystem.
At the disposal of the resource VideoCardz there was also a better image of the Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 motherboard, which will represent the middle segment of the Aorus series solutions.
It will also receive three PCIe x16 slots, at least one of which will definitely receive support for the PCIe 5.0 interface. But the memory, as you might guess from the name, will only support DDR4.
