portal Tweak City I noticed that in a recent interview PlayStation Blog Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida spoke about the usefulness of a fast PS5 SSD for the highly anticipated Square Enix RPG.

According to Yoshida, the increase in processing power of the current generation of consoles allows for more graphics enrichment than before, but the developer was most impressed “super fast downloads”.
“In Final Fantasy XVI, you jump from story cutscenes to real-time combat and back again without loading, making the gameplay pace dizzying.”said Yoshida.
The producer did not skimp on praise specifically for the PS5: “Only with the power of the PlayStation 5 system can we make Final Fantasy XVI the thrill it is.”.
Final Fantasy XVI will be released in summer 2023 only on PS5, but the game is expected to come later on PC, Xbox Series X and S. Notably, at an early stage in development, the team considered releasing the PS4 version of the project.
