Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida as part of Famitsu broadcasts with Tokyo Game Show 2021 Online (TGS 2021 Online) has spoken about the progress of development of the hotly anticipated RPG from Square Enix.
Recall that by mid-October 2020, Final Fantasy XVI had passed the basic development phase and the script writing phase, and in the summer of 2021, the team was in the process of dubbing the game.
During TGS 2021 Online, Yoshida reiterated that the main design of Final Fantasy XVI is already complete, and the team is currently working on completing side quests, models and several quality improvements.
Yoshida had previously claimed that Square Enix wanted to show Final Fantasy XVI at Tokyo Game Show 2021 Online, but the development team was unable to meet the deadline for showing the project to the general public.
Officially, Final Fantasy XVI has so far been announced only for PS5, however, a mention of the PC version has flashed in the announcement trailer. According to rumors, the game will also be released on the Xbox Series X and S, but only a year after the premiere on the Sony console.
