On December 16, Square Enix was temporarily forced expose Sales of Final Fantasy XIV amid successful launch of major add-on Endwalker – data centers couldn’t handle the influx of players, with more than 25 million registered by early December. Today publisher called the exact date when the project will be offered for sale again.
Beginning January 25, Final Fantasy XIV Starter and Definitive Editions will be available for purchase again, it said in a statement official site games.
The developers have also taken additional measures to prevent problems with the influx of players in the future. The capacity of the data centers in Japan, Europe and North America has been increased. Square Enix will also open data centers in Oceania, allowing players to move freely between servers within the same region.
Recall: The full release of Endwalker took place on December 7th on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In anticipation of the release of a major add-on, Final Fantasy XIV set an online record on Steam.
