Final Fantasy VII prequel on PSP to get a “complete remaster” for PC and modern consoles

Publisher and developer Square Enix as part of the broadcast celebrating the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII announced Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion – “complete reissue” Action RPG Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII for PSP.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will reportedly feature new 3D models, full voice acting, redesigned environments and UI, and numerous system optimizations.

At the same time, the plot remains unchanged. Crisis Core is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII and tells the story of a soldier, Zack Fair, who goes in search of a missing colleague.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be available this winter for PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. The cost of the game is not specified.

The original Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII debuted in September 2007 (Japanese release). According to Square Enix, the project has received praise for its innovative gameplay, likable characters, and storytelling that enriched the world of Final Fantasy VII.
