The Chinese publisher and developer Papergames with its internal studio 17ZHE via the portal IGN has released the first gameplay trailer for the open-world fantasy action game Project: The Perceiver.
Project: The Perceiver is set in a fantasy world torn apart by endless wars during the Tianhu period of the Xuantang Dynasty. This period of in-game history has been dubbed the Age of Chaos.
Players take on the role of a Master of Varietas who can change his abilities (and appearance) with different masks. Only two have been confirmed so far – Loyalty and Shadow.
The Project: The Perceiver trailer is seven minutes long and features Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice-inspired combat (you’ll also have to defend against attacks and keep an eye on your stamina), parkour, and an open world reminiscent of Ghost of Tsushima.
Project: The Perceiver is being built for multiple target platforms (which are unspecified) and doesn’t even have an approximate release date yet. Judging by the presence of PlayStation YouTube channelthe game will be released on at least PS4 and PS5.
