EVGA has announced its own versions of GeForce RTX 3080 graphics accelerators that are equipped with 12 GB of memory. The GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB FTW3 Ultra Gaming and the GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB XC3 Ultra Gaming debuted.
The new products are based on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture (8-nanometer GA102-220 chip). The configuration includes 8960 CUDA cores, 70 ray tracing cores and 280 tensor cores. Used GDDR6X memory with 384-bit bus.
The reference products have a GPU turbo frequency of 1710 MHz. New EVGA products have been overclocked at the factory. The GeForce RTX 3080 12GB FTW3 Ultra Gaming model has a frequency of 1800 MHz and the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB XC3 Ultra Gaming version – 1755 MHz.
Both graphics cards are equipped with a proprietary iCX3 cooling system with three fans. When the temperature of the graphics chip is below 55 degrees Celsius, they stop completely, so that the noise level of the accelerator is reduced to zero.
There is an HDMI interface and three DisplayPort connections for connecting monitors. It is recommended that you use a power supply of at least 750 W to work with cards. The graphics accelerators are equipped with a reinforcing metal plate on the back and multi-colored ARGB lighting.
The GeForce RTX 3080 12GB FTW3 Ultra Gaming and GeForce RTX 3080 12GB XC3 Ultra Gaming are priced at $ 1,299 and $ 1,249, respectively.
