Epic Games Publishing Division announced on the conclusion of partnership agreements with two independent studios – recently formed Eyes Out and Spry Fox (Road Not Taken, Cozy Grove).
The Eyes Out project – created by Spec Ops: The Line creative director Cory Davis and Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck – is already known. It’s about a solitary cosmic horror.
It is reported that Epic Games funded the development of a prototype from Eyes Out (before that, the authors received a grant from the company). The game will be released on multiple platforms and will be based on the Unreal Engine.
As for Spry Fox, the team embarked on a peaceful multi-platform multiplayer game designed to “Encourage friendship and reduce the number of single people in the world”…
The ambitious but so far unnamed project Spry Fox is being developed using Unreal Engine, Epic Online Services and Epic Account Services and will support crossplay and transfer of progress.
“We entered the publishing space to support creators and teams of different sizes, games and experiences of different genres. The worlds that Eyes Out and Spry Fox create, and the teams themselves demonstrate this. “– says the head of Epic Games Publishing Hector Sanchez (Hector Sanchez).
As a reminder, Epic Games Publishing announced in March 2020 that it will fund and publish new games from studios such as genDESIGN (The Last Guardian), Playdead (Inside) and Remedy Entertainment (Control).
