MetaHuman Animator’s abilities are featured in an excerpt from Ninja Theory’s upcoming game Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. Actress Melina Jürgens, who plays the main character, reenacted a scene that repeated her character. Working in the studio used expensive cameras designed for motion capture, so the result was amazing. Although the technology allows almost any camera to be used, it can make things a lot easier for indie game developers looking for easy ways to animate characters.

MetaHuman technology is based on artificial intelligence algorithms and an extensive database of facial animations. Epic Games obtained this record by acquiring several motion capture technology companies including Cubic Motion, 3Lateral and Hyprsense – new MetaHuman Animator capabilities enable the solution’s real-time performance. The updated tool is expected to be released this summer.
