The Bulletin of the same Stalker community reported about the hacking of the encrypted assembly of GSC Game World’s post-apocalyptic shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which became public domain a few days ago.
The mentioned build of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, which allegedly appeared on the torrents due to the carelessness of the developers of GSC Game World, contains 193 GB of data and dates itself from the first half of 2023.
Modder RedPanda took over the decryption of the assembly – thanks to the help of other participants its Discord servers The hack was successful. According to unconfirmed reports, the coveted key was found in a memory dump on the next flight.
For those interested, “The Bulletin of The Same Stalker” provides both the decryption key and instructions on how to start and solve common problems, as well as a link to download the assembly itself.
Judging by the screenshots (attached above) of very different quality released by the fans who got their hands on the hacked version of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the montage turned out to be really functional, albeit far from the Release version removed.
Probably, in the near future gameplay fragments of the unfinished version with screenshots (the first demonstrations can already be found on YouTube), as well as analyzes of the build content, will be released.
GSC Game World has not yet commented on the situation but likely will sooner or later given the seriousness. STALKER 2 is expected to be released in 2023 on PC (Steam, EGS, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass.
