“Could you create a new social media platform @elonmusk? One that will consist of an open-source algorithm that puts freedom of speech and respect for (principles of) speech first and keeps propaganda to a minimum? I think that such a platform is needed.”asked Mask IT Specialist from India Pranay Pathole. “I’m seriously considering it” replied Elon Musk.

The day before, Musk conducted a poll on his Twitter asking users if they believed Twitter upheld the principle of free speech. More than 70% of users denied this.

Elon Musk recently criticized Twitter and company policies. He explained that the social network undermines democracy by not adhering to the principles of free speech.

If Musk decides to create a new platform, he will join a growing number of tech companies positioning themselves as advocates of free speech, hoping to attract users who believe that existing platforms like Twitter, Facebook* and censor YouTube.

It should be noted that none of the newly created social networks, including Donald Trump’s Truth Social, Gettr, Parler, and video site Rumble, have come close to the above in terms of reach and popularity.
