Elon Musk filed a counterclaim against Twitter but asked the court to keep it secret

In the story of the confrontation between the billionaire Elon Musk and Twitter, which has to commit a businessman to court announced in April to buy the microblogging service for 44 billion dollars, there is a new twist. It was announced on Friday that Musk had filed a counterclaim against Twitter, the content of which he asked to be kept secret.

What guided Elon Musk in deciding to classify the lawsuit’s arguments is unclear. In any case, its content will become known to the general public in the near future. In the meantime, we can only say that this is a confirmation of the parties’ intransigence.

A little earlier it became known that the trial of the Twitter lawsuit against Elon will begin on October 17 in Delaware (USA). At the request of the plaintiff, the hearing will be conducted in an expedited manner – within five days.

From the looks of it, the Twitter team is hoping for a quick win. As Twitter lawyers have said, they have four days to prove Musk’s arguments about spam and questionable accounts are just an excuse to refuse to buy the microblogging service.

Recall that a Twitter shareholders’ meeting is scheduled for September 13 to vote on approving the deal with Musk.
