Elden Ring sales more than tripled the publisher’s expectations through the end of March

Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment in their latest financial report announced the new achievements of the fantasy open-world action role-playing game Elden Ring from the developers of FromSoftware.

As has been revealed, total shipments and digital sales of Elden Ring exceeded 13.4 million copies as of March 31 this year (ie 34 days after release).

For comparison: in the first 17 days, Elden Ring managed to scatter around the world in a quantity of over 12 million copies. Thus, in the remaining 17 days from this moment to March 31st, 1.4 million people bought the game.

Recall that Bandai Namco Entertainment indicated in their November financial report that they hope to sell 4 million copies of Elden Ring by March 31, 2022. In reality, the game exceeded the release’s expectations by more than three times.

Elden Ring debuted on February 25th on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. The game was developed in collaboration with George RR Martin, author of A Song of Ice and Fire.
