The list is compiled based on how users add products to their wishlists. December 2020 (after the release of Cyberpunk 2077) and up to recently it was spearheaded by Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

As AshenOne notes, the fact that his site has been available on Steam for several years has kept Dying Light 2 Stay Human in the hands all along, while Elden Ring only appeared on Valve’s service last summer.

It is possible that the status quo still has time to change (games will be automatically removed from the wishlist when pre-ordered), but AshenOne suggests that Elden Ring is waiting for a big launch on Steam.

Elden Ring is expected to be released on February 25th this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, while Dying Light 2 Stay Human is expected to be released on February 4th (platforms are the same).
